What can the Windows wireless report reveal about disconnections?

Repeated Wi-Fi disconnects are easier to investigate when the event has a timestamp and a connection history. Windows can generate a wireless network report that helps show sessions and related diagnostic information. Use it to narrow the failure stage before applying a broad reset. Note when the call, game or transfer stopped, whether the Wi-Fi indicator changed and whether other devices were affected. Include sleep, dock changes or movement between rooms if they preceded the interruption.

What if the Wi-Fi adapter is missing from Device Manager?

If Windows does not show the wireless adapter, investigate the laptop's hardware and driver state before changing router settings. A router can broadcast normally while a particular computer has no usable wireless interface. Open Device Manager and inspect the network-adapter category. Note any warning, unknown device or disabled entry. Record the exact status message if one is available. Microsoft distinguishes an adapter that Windows does not detect from a network that merely fails to connect.

Do AirPlay mirroring and internet streaming use the same path?

A television can play its own internet app smoothly while screen mirroring from a Mac stutters. Conversely, a nearby sharing session may work during a broadband problem. These results are not contradictory: discovery, mirroring and remote content retrieval can use different paths. Record whether you are mirroring the whole screen, sending media through an application or using an app directly on the receiver. Include the source device and receiver model. The word streaming alone is too broad to identify the failing connection.

Why can an iPhone casting app fail to see a television?

A streaming application can play video on an iPhone yet show no television in its casting list. Internet playback and local-device discovery are separate operations. A denied Local Network permission is one possible explanation when the TV and phone are otherwise correctly connected. Confirm that the television or streaming receiver supports the casting method used by the app. A generic smart-TV label does not mean every protocol is supported. Open the receiver's relevant feature and check its connection state.
